hose as an assembly. Loosen hose clamp at regulator. Remove and discard hose and both clamps.

5.

Remove regulator mounting nut and remove regulator from the mounting bracket. Set aside bracket for parts return.

6.

Install the new, supplied mounting bracket at the original bracket location.

7.

Mount the original regulator to the new bracket. (The square notch on the regulator housing should be matched with the
dimple on the bracket to properly orient the regulator fuel hose nipple.)

8.

Install the supplied regulator to fuel rail hose and sleeve assembly, using the new clamps provided in the parts package.
(Torque to 1 N-m / 10 in. lbs.)

9.

Install the supplied vacuum line and sleeve assembly, looping the line toward the firewall.

10.

Reinstall return hose to regulator with a new clamp provided in the parts package. (Torque to 1 N-m / 10 in. lbs.)

11.

Start engine and check to ensure there are no leaks at the hose connections.

Completion Reporting and Reimbursement

Claims for vehicles which have been serviced should be submitted by DIAL dealers on the DIAL System. Non DIAL dealers may use WROs. Claims
submitted will be used by Chrysler to record recall service completions and provide dealer payments.

If using a WRO, enter only one VIN per claim. Fill in the labor operation number and time allowance and write on the WRO "Recall # 430 -- Fuel
Regulator Hose." Do not enter other service claims on the same WRO.

Parts Return

Removed regulator mounting brackets must be returned to the Warranty Material Return Center.

SAFETY RECALL -- FUEL REGULATOR HOSE

Dear Chrysler Motors Vehicle Owner:

This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and Motor

Vehicle Safety Act.

Chrysler Motors has determined that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in 1985, 1986 and 1987 model passenger cars equipped with
the 2.2L turbo-charged engine. Fuel leakage may occur at an engine fuel hose.

Your car, whose Vehicle Identification Number is shown on the enclosed form, is one of the affected vehicles. For this reason we ask that you arrange
for corrective service by your dealer as soon as possible. This service will be provided free of charge.
