Oil Pump: Service and Repair
Inspection

Measure the following oil pump clearances:
Fig. 45 Measuring Oil Pump Endplay
a.
Endplay should be .0010-.0035 inch.
Fig. 46 Measuring Oil Pump Outer Rotor Thickness
b.
Outer rotor specifications. Thickness should be .9435 inch minimum and 2.469 inches minimum diameter. Install outer rotor with chamfered
edge in pump body.
