Vehicle may exhibit high latching effort especially if top has been stowed for extended period of time.
DIAGNOSIS
Verify that top has proper adjustment and fit. (Refer to the August, 1987 Master Tech for correct adjustment procedures.) After verification, proceed to
Repair Procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE
The following procedure outlines the installation of new convertible top latch hooks.
1.
Unlatch top and raise part way.
2.
Loosen hook-set screw using a 1/8 inch size hex-key wrench.
