Service Procedure
1.
Open the hood and verity that both the right and left air bag system front impact sensors (Figure 1) are mounted to the radiator closure panel
with a mounting plate and three (3) attaching bolts.

If properly mounted, no further action is required.

If not mounted, complete steps 2 through 6.
2.
Order the required number of impact sensor mounting plates (two per car), PN 6502044, and mounting bolts (six per car), PN 6501888.
3.
With the ignition key in the off position, disconnect the battery.
4.
Mount each front impact sensor using a mounting plate and three bolts.
5.
Tighten the bolts to 100 in.lbs. (11.3 N-m).
6.
Connect the battery and check for proper operation of the air bag warning system. At initial key-on, the air bag light will illuminate for 6 or 8
seconds and then go out.

completions and provide dealer payments.
