Headlight Switch: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove switch pod assembly. Refer to procedure outlined under "Instrument Cluster, Replace."
3. Remove turn signal lever by pulling straight out of pod.
4. Remove five pod inner panel attaching screws, then the inner panel.
5. Remove turn signal switch to gain access to headlight switch. Refer to procedure outlined under "Turn Signal Switch, Replace."
6. Disconnect headlight switch linkage from buttons.
7. Remove switch mounting screws, then the switch.
8. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:

a. Latch switch linkage in UP position.
b. Insert dimmer shaft into dimmer knob while aligning switch in switch pod.
c. Unlatch linkage and connect to push buttons.
d. Check all switch modes for proper operation.
