SYMPTOM/CONDITION
Overheating complaints on subject model vehicles built through
September, 1984, may be due to the coolant reserve system overflow bottle having an internal leak at the "pinch" between the plastic integral tube and
the bottle. This air leak prevents coolant from returning to the radiator on cool down. Coolant level in the overflow bottle will be high, while the radiator
coolant is low, and can result in an overheating condition.
