The strut-to-knuckle configuration used on the "H" body vehicle is unique in that cam bolts are not used to adjust camber. The camber adjustment
procedure as outlined below should be revised in the 1985 Front Wheel Drive Service Manual, publication #81-270-5002.
1.
Prepare vehicle as described in "Pre-Alignment" as outlined in the 1985 service manual.
2.
Position the vehicle on the alignment equipment and read camber as instructed by equipment manufacturer's procedure.
3.
Using extensions and appropriate tools, loosen the strut-toknuckle bolts (2) just enough to allow movement between the strut and the knuckle.
4.
By pulling or pushing on the top of the tire, move the tire inward or outward until the correct camber reading is obtained.
5.
Using the appropriate extensions and tools, carefully reach around the tire and torque the two bolts to 75 foot pounds (100Nm) plus 1/4 (90~) turn.
