Below is the procedure for replacing head restraint guides.

REPAIR PROCEDURE
There are three different types of seatback covers as shown in Figure 1.
There are two different designs of head restraint guides; one has a closed bottom retaining lip and the other is open. To determine the difference, remove
head restraint and insert a screw driver with at least a 4" shank into guide.
If screw driver bottoms in guide approximately 3" down, it is the closed bottom retaining lip design. To remove this design requires breaking out the
bottom of the guide with a screw driver and mallet. Then use pliers, vice grips, etc. to grasp head of the guide and, with twisting motion, pull up to
