Ball Joint: Description and Operation
The front suspension lower control arm ball joints operate with no free play. See Testing and Inspection to determine if the ball joint is worn and requires
replacement.
The ball joints are not replaceable as a separate component of the lower control arm assembly. If a ball joint is found to be defective, the entire lower
control arm will need to be replaced. Do not attempt any type of repair on the ball joint assembly.
