Install new brake shoes on the adapter assembly and carefully lower the caliper over the brake disc and shoes. The lower end of the caliper must be
inserted into the adapter first (Refer to Figures 8 and 9). Do not install the caliper mounting bolts at this time.

Rest the caliper on the adapter, then insert the anti-rattle clip through the opening in the caliper. The lower portion of the clip must be placed in
position first and then released (Refer to Figure 10). The clip should fall into the correct position on the brake shoes.

Install the brake shoe retainer pin through the caliper and brake shoes (Refer to Figure 11). Drive the brake shoe retainer pin into position with an
appropriate drift punch.
23.
Push down on the upper portion of the caliper (Refer to Figure 12). Some resistance will be encountered as the anti-rattle is compressed. Align and
install the upper caliper mounting bolt first and then the lower mounting bolt. Torque the caliper mounting bolts to 192 In.Lbs. (25 N-m).
