Coat the piston and new boot with fresh Mopar Brake Fluid (P/N 4318080) leaving a generous amount of fluid inside the boot.

Position the boot over the piston and into the groove of the piston (Refer to Figure 5).

Apply uniform pressure (to prevent cocking) to the piston until it bottoms in the bore of the caliper.

Position the dust boot in the counterbore of the caliper. Use special tool C-4383-7 and a hammer to seat the boot in the caliper counter bore (Refer
to Figure 6).
18.
Remove the caliper parking brake lever spring using a pair of pliers with approximately 1/2 in. wide jaws. Grasp the spring (Refer to Figure 7) and
rotate clockwise until the spring disengages from the parking brake lever stop.
