Headlight Switch: Service and Repair
Disable airbag, refer to Air Bags and Seat Belts/Air Bags (Supplemental Restraint Systems)/Service and Repair. After procedure has been
completed, rearm airbag system.
1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then place gearshift lever in 1 position.
2. Remove left upper and lower instrument cluster bezel attaching screws, then detach bezel from five retaining clips. Remove bezel.
3. Remove three screws attaching headlamp switch retainer plate to instrument panel.
4. Pull headlamp switch and retainer plate rearward and disconnect wire connector, then depress button on switch and remove switch knob and stem.
5. Remove switch retainer plate escutcheon, then the nut attaching switch to plate.
6. Reverse procedure to install.
