Throttle Position Sensor: Description and Operation
The TPS, located on the throttle body, is an electric resistor which is activated by the movement of the throttle blade. The sensor produces a voltage
which increases or decreases according to the throttle blade opening. The voltage signal is transmitted to SMEC or SBEC where it is used with data from
other sensors to adjust the air/fuel mixture accordingly.
