The heater a/c unit housing need not be disassembled to remove the heater core. Refer to Heater Core Removal and Installation. See: Heater

DISASSEMBLE
1. Place heater-A/C unit assembly on workbench.
2. Pull back on retaining tabs and remove heater core from housing.
