Wiper Arm: Service and Repair
Wiper Arms - Installation

Front

INSTALLATION

1. Position the wiper arm (5 or 8) onto the wiper arm pivot in approximate position with the tips of the wiper blades on the tick marks at the bottom

of the windshield.

2. Install the nut 4 or 7) holding wiper arm (5 or 8) to the wiper pivot Tighten nut to 18 Nm (160 in. lbs.).
3. Install the retaining nut cover (3 or 6) by firmly pressing down on cover over wiper pivot.
4. Check wiper arm adjustment See: Wiper Arms - Front Wiper Arm Alignment.

Rear

INSTALLATION

1. Place the rear wiper arm (1) on the rear wiper motor shaft. Align the wiper blade with lower EBL line.
2. Install the rear wiper arm retaining nut (2). Tighten nut to 11.86 Nm (105 in. lbs.).
3. Flip down the rear wiper arm nut cover (3).
