Luggage Rack: Service and Repair
Side Rail-Luggage Rack

Removal

REMOVAL

1. Remove the end caps (3) and crossbars (2) See: Crossbar-Luggage Rack/Removal.
2. Remove the trim panels as necessary from the side of the vehicle being serviced and lower the headliner to gain access to the side rail retaining

nuts (4) See: Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and Repair/Headliner - Removal.

3. Remove the five side rail nuts and remove the side rail (1).

Installation

INSTALLATION

1. Position the luggage rack side rail (1) being serviced onto the top of the vehicle.
2. Apply a suitable body sealer to the side rail studs and install the five nuts (4). Tighten the nuts securely.
3. Reinstall the headliner and trim panels as necessary See: Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and Repair/Headliner - Installation.
4. Install the crossbars (2) and end caps (3) See: Crossbar-Luggage Rack/Installation.
