A/C Heater Control - Removal
REMOVAL
WARNING: On vehicles equipped with airbags, disable the airbag system before attempting any steering wheel, steering column, or instrument
panel component diagnosis or service. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery (ground) cable, then wait two minutes for the airbag system
capacitor to discharge before performing further diagnosis or service. This is the only sure way to disable the airbag system. Failure to take the
proper precautions could result in accidental airbag deployment and possible personal injury or death.
1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. Disengage the center bezel (7) from the instrument panel to gain access to the back of the A/C-heater control See: Body and Frame/Interior

4. Using a small screwdriver or similar tool, disengage the retaining clips that secure the control cables (1 and 9) to the back of the A/C-heater
control (8) and disconnect the cables from the mode control lever (2) and the temperature control lever (5).
5. Disconnect the wire harness connectors (3 and 4) from the rear of the A/C-heater control and place the center bezel on a work bench.
6. Remove the four screws (6) that secure the A/C-heater control to the back of the center bezel and remove the control.
