Air Filter Element: Service and Repair
Removal
REMOVAL
NOTE: It is normal for turbo charger equipped vehicles to have a small amount of oil accumulation in the air cleaner housing. The amount
depends on driving style.
1. Unfasten clasps on sides of air cleaner housing cover. Lift cover off air cleaner housing.
2. Remove filter element.
NOTE: On vehicles equipped with a turbo charger, the make-up-air filter should be replaced when replacing air filter element.
3. On turbo charger equipped vehicles remove the make-up-air filter element.
4. If necessary, clean the inside of the air cleaner housing.
