Disassembly - Wheel Bearing and Hub

DISASSEMBLY - WHEEL BEARING AND HUB

NOTE: The removal and installation of the wheel bearing and hub from the steering knuckle is only to be done with the knuckle removed from
the vehicle. See: Front Steering Knuckle - Removal

NOTE: Three wheel mounting studs across from one another require removal from the hub flange. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for each stud before
going on to step 3.

1. Using Press (1), Special Tool C-4150A, one at a time, press of one of three wheel mounting studs (2) (across from one another) out of the hub

flange (3).

2. Rotate the hub to align the loosened wheel mounting stud(s) with the notch (2) in the bearing retainer plate (1). Remove the stud through the open

notch.
