24. Compress the parking brake cable return spring, then install the cable on parking brake lever. Release the spring guiding it beneath the retaining
tab on the lever.
25. Slide the hub and bearing (7) on the spindle (10).
26. Install a NEW hub nut (3) on the spindle. Tighten the nut to 217 Nm (160 ft. lbs.).
27. Install the hub and bearing dust cap (4).
28. Adjust the rear brakes as necessary. See: Brakes and Traction Control/Drum Brake System/Brake Shoe/Adjustments.
29. Install the brake drum (6).
30. Install the bolt securing the disc brake flex hose to the axle.
31. Install tire and wheel assembly (1) See: Wheels and Tires/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Tires and Wheels - Installation. Install
and tighten wheel mounting nuts (3) to 135 Nm (100 ft. lbs.).
32. Lower the vehicle to a point where the rear wheels just clear the floor.
