OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves aligning the power steering pulley flush with the power steering pump shaft.

NOTE:
This bulletin applies to vehicles equipped with a 2.4L and 2.4L Turbo engine (sales code EDT, EDV and EDZ) built on or before September 11,
2003.
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
This condition can be caused by the power steering pulley being pressed too far on to the power steering pump shaft. If the pulley is 0.4 mm or more
from the end of the power steering pump shaft this condition exists.
DIAGNOSIS:
If the vehicle operator describes or the technician experiences the Symptom/Condition, perform the Repair Procedure.
SPECIAL TOOLS/EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1.
Raise the vehicle. Refer to the service information available in TechCONNECT or the appropriate service manual in Section 0 - LUBRICATION
& MAINTENANCE/HOISTING - STANDARD PROCEDURE for detailed instructions.

Remove the right front tire and wheel assembly. Refer to the service information available in TechCONNECT or the appropriate service manual in
