Fluid Level Check
FLUID LEVEL CHECK
Check the fluid level by removing the fill plug.
The fluid level should be between the bottom of the fill hole and a point not more than that 4.7 mm (3/16") below the bottom of the hole.

NOTE: Two types of fluid are available in manual transaxle equipped PT models, depending on where the vehicle is manufactured. Always add or
replace fluid removed or lost with the fluid the transaxle was originally built with. Use fluid color as an indicator. Do not mix fluid types.

The transaxle fill plug is located on the left side of the transaxle differential area (Fig. 99). The fluid level should be within 3/16 inch from the bottom of
the transaxle fill hole (vehicle must be level when checking).
The transaxle drain plug is located on the lower right side of the transaxle differential housing (Fig. 100). Tighten drain plug to 28 Nm (250 in. lbs.)
