Temperature Gauge: Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

Resistance Inspection

Engine Coolant Temperature Gauge

1. Remove the power supply tightening screw.
2. Use an ohmmeter to measure the resistance value between the terminals.

CAUTION:  When inserting the testing probe into the power supply terminal, be careful not to touch the printed board.
Standard value:
Power supply-Ground........................................................................................................................................................................178.9 ± 18 Ohms 
Power supply-Engine coolant temperature gauge...................................................................................................................................54 ± 2.7 Ohms
Engine coolant temperature gauge-Ground.........................................................................................................................................232.9 ± 23 Ohms
