6. Using special tools remove camshaft sprocket.
7. Install the special tools on the rocker arms not to drop the lash adjusters.
CAUTION: Do not disassemble the rocker arm and rocker arm shaft assembly.
INSTALLATION
1. Follow the installation steps outlined in the illustration, noting the following.
2. Apply engine oil to the cams and journals of the camshafts.
3. Set the dowel pins of the camshafts as shown in the illustration.
CAUTION: Do not confuse the camshafts. The camshaft for rear bank has a slit of width of 4 mm in its rear end.
4. Coat engine oil on the entire inside diameter of the oil seal lip. Use the special tool to press-fit the oil seal.
5. Using special tools install camshaft sprocket.
6. Set No. 1 cylinder in the top dead center on compression stroke.
7. Align the mating mark on the distributor housing with that of the coupling. Install the distributor.
8. Check the ignition timing. Refer to Powertrain Management.
9. Install timing belt.
