NOTE: 

THIS BULLETIN APPLIES TO 1996 VEHICLES BUILT PRIOR TO NOVEMBER 27, 1995 MDH (11-27-XX).

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:

Some of the subject vehicles may exhibit a buzz or rattle coming from the door when the radio is on. This noise may be more noticeable when deep base
tones are emitted from the speakers and can be mistaken for speaker problems.

DIAGNOSIS:

Verify the buzz or rattle by operating the radio with deep base tones. If buzzing or rattling is heard, Perform the Repair Procedure.

Bolt (14 mm long) 1 per door required

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

This bulletin involves removing the door trim panel, removing the upper rear bolt that attaches the window regulator and installing a new bolt and washer
for that attachment point.

1.

Remove the applicable door trim panel to gain access to the window regulator bolts.

2.

Peel back the water shield to expose the upper rear window regulator mounting bolt.

3.

Remove the upper rear bolt from the door and discard the bolt (Figure 1).

4.

Insert one washer P/N MB140593 between the regulator mounting bracket and door inner panel. Center the washer over the bolt opening (Figure
1).
