Front Crankshaft Seal: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
1. Remove timing belt.
2. Make a notch in the oil seal lip with a knife, etc.
3. Cover the end of a flat-tipped screwdriver with a shop towel and insert into the notched section of the oil seal, and lever out the oil seal to remove
it.
CAUTION: Do not damage the crankshaft and the oil pump case.
INSTALLATION
1. Follow removal procedure in reverse order noting the following.
2. Apply a small amount of engine oil to the oil seal lip and then insert.
3. Tap the oil seal into the cylinder block.
