Sebring V6-2.5L VIN N (1997)
Connector Terminal Arrangement
b. The ABS-ECU connector terminal arrangement for troubleshooting is different from that on the special tool connector. So take the readings
from the terminal numbers of the special tool when checking.
4. If the output voltage is lower than the above values, the reason could be as follows:
^
Faulty wheel speed sensor.
RESISTANCE TEST
Inspecting Front/Rear Wheel Speed Sensor
1. Check whether any metallic foreign material has adhered to the parts shown at the speed sensor tip. If so, remove it.
NOTE: Metallic foreign material may adhere to the speed sensor tip easily, because it is a magnet.
Measuring Resistance Between Speed Sensor Terminals
2. Measure the resistance between the speed sensor terminals.
Standard value: 1.0 - 1.2 kilo ohms
If the internal resistance of the speed sensor is not within the standard value, replace it.
3. Check the speed sensor cable for open circuit, damage or disconnection: replace it, if necessary.
NOTE: Unclamp the cable to check an open circuit by pulling and bending it. That is because an intermittent open circuit may be suspected at the
clamps.
INSULATION INSPECTION
Measuring Resistance Between Terminals 1 & 2 And Body Of Speed Sensor
1. Remove all connections from the speed sensor, and then measure the resistance between terminals (1) and (2), and the body of the speed sensor.
Standard value: 100k ohms or more
