Remove screws attaching door latch striker to B-pillar (Figure 1).

3.

Separate latch striker from vehicle.

NOTE:

BE SURE TO CHECK FOR ANY SHIMS BETWEEN DOOR LATCH STRIKER AND B-PILLAR. IF ANY SHIMS ARE FOUND, THEY MUST
BE REINSTALLED WITH THE NEW DOOR LATCH STRIKER TO OBTAIN PROPER DOOR OPERATION.

4.

Position new door latch striker and any shims on vehicle.

5.

Loosely install screws attaching the latch striker to the B-pillar.

6.

Align the latch striker to marks on B-pillar made in step one.

7.

Torque all screws to 28 Nm (250 in lbs).

8.

Verify door fit and operation. Adjust door latch striker as necessary.

9.

Repeat procedure for other side as needed.

Door(s) rattle when going over bumps or other similar complete vehicle movements.

DIAGNOSIS:
Verify customer concern to determine if one or both doors are rattling, proceed to the Repair Procedure.

Repair Procedure

This bulletin involves the replacement of the door latch striker on one or both doors, with a new door latch striker.

Mark the outline of the door latch striker on B-pillar to aid in installation.
