Sebring Convertible V6-2.5L SOHC 24 Valve (1996)
This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act.
Chrysler Corporation has determined that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in some 1996 Chrysler Sebring Convertibles equipped
with a 2.5L V-6 engine.
The problem is...
The power brake booster vacuum hose on your Sebring (identified on the enclosed form), may be improperly installed. This may cause a loss of power
assist during brake application and an increase in engine idle speed. This could result in an increase in stopping distance and cause an accident without
prior warning.
What Chrysler and your dealer will do...
Chrysler will repair your Sebring free of charge (parts and labor). To do this, your dealer will properly install the brake booster vacuum hose. The work
will take less than one half hour to complete. However, additional time may be necessary depending on how dealer appointments are scheduled and
processed.
What you must do to ensure your safety...

Simply contact your dealer right away to schedule a service appointment.

Bring the enclosed Owner Notification Form with you to your dealer. It explains the required service to the dealer.
