Smooth Road Steering wheel Vibration

MODELS:

1996 (JX) Sebring Convertible

NOTE: 

THIS BULLETIN APPLIES TO VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH 16" TIRES ONLY.

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:

A smooth road steering wheel vibration may be felt at speeds of 65 MPH and above.

DIAGNOSIS/REPAIR PROCEDURE:

Test drive the vehicle on a smooth road with all accessories turned off to verify that the vibration felt is in the 65 MPH range. If vibration is felt, proceed
to the visual inspection.

NOTE: 

IF ANY CORRECTIVE ACTION WAS TAKEN DURING THE VISUAL INSPECTION, TEST DRIVE THE VEHICLE AND DETERMINE IF
THE VIBRATION CONDITION HAS BEEN CORRECTED.

NOTE: 

INSURE THAT THE BALANCER IS PROPERLY CALIBRATED PRIOR TO BALANCING ANY TIRE/WHEEL ASSEMBLY.
