Binding Or Crunch Type Noise When Door Glass Is Raised Or Lowered

NOTE:
THIS BULLETIN APPLIES TO VEHICLES BUILT PRIOR TO September 2, 1996 (MDH 09-02-XX).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
When raised or lowered the front door glass may bind or make a crunch type noise.
DIAGNOSIS:
Cycle both windows up and down for at least 2 cycles, if the noise is heard perform the Repair Procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
This bulletin involves the replacement of the front door regulator assemblies.
1.
Lower the door glass 3/4 of the way down.
2.
Remove door trim panel, speaker, speaker bracket and water shield.
3.
Disconnect wire connector to the power window motor.
4.
Remove the screws holding the regulator lift channel to the door glass.
5.
Secure the door glass in upward position.
