3. Install the two airbag retaining bolts (4). Tighten bolts to 10 Nm (89 in. lbs.).
4. Install the airbag bolt access covers.
WARNING: DO NOT CONNECT THE BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE. PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH MAY RESULT IF THE

Passenger Air Bag - Removal
REMOVAL
1. Open hood.
2. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
WARNING: Wait two minutes for the system reserve capacitor to discharge before servicing any airbag components. Failure to do this may
result in serious or fatal injury.
3. Remove the glove box See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Glove Compartment/Service and Repair/Instrument Panel Glove Box -
Removal.
4. Remove two fasteners (2) retaining PAB to instrument panel assembly inside glove box opening.
5. Disconnect the two PAB squib connectors (1).
6. Remove instrument panel top pad from instrument panel See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and
Repair/Instrument Panel Pad - Removal.
7. Pry out on the tabs or loops (2) on the one side of the PAB (3) and slightly lift one side of airbag out of top pad (1). Push down and inward on the
other side of the PAB to unlatch the other side five hooks.
