Fascia to Headlamp Gap In High Sun Load Conditions
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves slotting the fascia upper and lower attaching holes.

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Some subject vehicles may develop a gap between the headlamp and the fascia when the vehicle is parked in direct sun light that causes the surface
temperature of the fascia to exceed 54°C (130°F.). As the surface temperature of the fascia becomes cooler, the gap will become smaller.
DIAGNOSIS:
If the vehicle operator describes the above condition, perform the Repair Procedure.

THIS REPAIR IS COMPATIBLE WITH DAIMLERCHRYSLER'S MOBILE SERVICE PROGRAM AND DOES NOT REQUIRE HOISTS OR
OTHER FULL SERVICE FACILITY SPECIAL EQUIPMENT.
1.
Raise the hood and remove the six plastic push pin fasteners attaching the fascia to the upper crossmember.
2.
Remove the fascia to fender attaching fasteners (one each side).
