Flash: ESP I Traction Control Sensitivity on Tight Curves
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves selectively erasing and reprogramming the Anti Lock
Brake/Electronic Stability Module (ABS) with new software.

NOTE:
This bulletin applies to vehicles built on or before February 13, 2007 (MDH 0213XX) equipped with ESP (Sales Code BNB) and Touring
Suspension (Sales Code SDC).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Some customers may experience overly sensitive ESP/Traction Control activation on tight curves such as freeway entrance & exit ramps. The customer
may notice that the amber ESP/Traction control indicator lamp flashes (indicates that the system is functioning) during the occurrence.
DIAGNOSIS:
Using a Scan Tool (StarSCAN(R)) with the appropriate Diagnostic Procedures available in TechCONNECT, verify all systems are functioning as
designed. If DTC's are present record them on the repair order and repair as necessary before proceeding further with this bulletin.
If the vehicle operator describes or experiences the Symptom/Condition, perform the Repair Procedure.

Before performing this Repair Procedure, the operating software in the StarSCAN(R); must be programmed with software release level 8.01 or
higher.
