Power Steering Hose - Installation
Pressure Hose
3.5L ENGINE
CAUTION: Power steering fluid hoses must remain away from the exhaust system, driveshafts, vehicle components and any unfriendly surface
that can possibly damage the hoses.
1. Install the pressure hose into the engine compartment from above between the engine and the upper radiator hose. Then route the hose down the
left side of the engine above the transmission, down to the steering gear.
2. Raise and support the vehicle See: Maintenance.
3. Install the pressure hose tube (4) at the gear. Tighten the tube nut (3) to 32 Nm (24 ft. lbs.).
4. Lower the vehicle.
5. Accessing it through the area behind the powertrain control module (3), position the power steering hose (1) routing clamp at the left side of the
front suspension crossmember. Install and tighten the routing clamp screw (2) to 14 Nm (10 ft. lbs.).
