Convertible Top: Description and Operation
Soft-Top Operation

LOWERING

CAUTION:  The top should be totally dry before lowering, also be sure that the top storage well is free of all foreign objects, to insure that no
damage will be done to the top or rear window as top is lowered. Before raising or lowering the top, lower both sunvisors and all windows
completely.

1. Push the top release button to unlatch the rear of the top.
2. Release the front portion of the soft-top by pulling rearward on the anchor hooks; after freeing the top from the windshield header, return the latch

hooks to the closed position.

CAUTION:  Latch hooks must be in closed position when top is stowed or damage to the top and/or tonneau-cover will result.

3. Press the tonneau-cover switch to release tonneau-cover.
4. Raise the rear of the soft-top to permit the tonneau-cover to open completely.
5. Carefully lower the soft-top into the stowage compartment, taking care not to damage the rear glass.
6. Close the tonneau-cover insuring that both sides are securely latched.

RAISING

1. Press the tonneau-cover release switch and raise the tonneau-cover fully.
2. Raise the soft-top completely to allow the tonneau-cover to close.
3. Lower the tonneau-cover and secure in place on both sides.
4. With the top several inches above the windshield header, open the latch hooks by pulling the handles rearward.
5. Close the latch hooks securely into the windshield header openings.
6. Insert the pins, in the rear of the soft-top, into their seats and press down until they catch.
7. Press the pull-down mechanism switch and make sure the rear of the soft-top is properly locked.

CAUTION:  The pull-down mechanism automatically pulls the top to a preset position. Be sure your fingers are clear of this area before the
switch is operated.

WARNING:  Should the tonneau-cover and the softtop pull down switches fail to function, you may perform the operation manually.

For the tonneau-cover release pull the handles located on the right and left walls of rear storage compartment; the top pull down manual release is
located in the center of the forward upper wall behind a rubber plug under the carpet of the trunk compartment; the mechanism is operated using
the spare tire lug wrench to turn the release counterclockwise.
