Convertible Top: Service and Repair
Convertible Top -- Installation to Vehicle
1. Locate pivot bracket in proper body mounting position using shims, as required under bracket
2. Support and guide center rail while moving the header up to windshield.
3. Guide the dowell pins in the holes and latch the header.
4. Adjust pivot bracket by adding or removing shims to get proper alignment of center rail and front rail with respect to side glass and/or alignment
of cloth line to body in rear rail area.
5. Install mounting bolts into pivot bracket and tighten all the bolts. Lift the #5 bow all the way up and close tonneau cover.
6. Align pull-down pins on the #5 bow with latch unit, and tighten screws on #5 bow pull-down pins. Now latch the #5 bow pins.
7. Adjust the J-hook on the header to attain 20 lbs. of operating force on the latch handles.
CAUTION: WATCH THE BACKLITE SO THAT IT DOES NOT GET CAUGHT ON THE GUIDES, AND IS NESTED PROPERLY IN FRONT
EDGE OF THE STORAGE WELL.
NOTE: Do not adjust any other settings on the top without consulting manufacturer.
