Raise vehicle on hoist and loosen sensor mounting screw and remove assembly.
Do not disturb the adjustment screw, which serves to adjust the gap between sensor and tonewheel. This way it will not be necessary to readjust
the gap if you reuse the sensor (though it should be checked).
Installation
To install the original sensors on the front wheels, perform the removal operations just described in reverse sequence, observing the following
suggestions:
Make sure the sensors are mounted at the proper wheels; especially if a new sensor is installed. Be sure it is the proper type for mounting in that
position. Sensors are not interchangeable.
Make sure the sensor cables are perfectly secured at all mounting points to avoid damage to them during driving. Tighten the mounting screw to
9-10 Nm (80-89 in. lbs.).
Make sure the gap between the sensor and the tonewheel is 0.7 Nm (.028 inch).
