Town & Country V6-3.3L VIN R (2003)
An updated J1962 cable has been released. This cable has a red colored connector at the DRBIII(R) connection. Use this cable whenever a flash is
being performed.
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
NOTE:
Whenever a PCM/TCM is replaced or reprogrammed, the software in the controller and DRBIII(R) must be verified as having the latest revision
level. If a controller software update flash is available, complete the flash and labeling requirement as directed in the appropriate service bulletin
identified on TechCONNECT.
1.
Replace the PCM with the part number currently on the vehicle. Refer to the service information available in TechCONNECT or the 2003 Town
& Country/Caravan/Voyager Service Manual (Publication No. 81-370-03062) page 8E-16.
2.
Perform the Powertrain Verification Test VER-2. Refer to the service information available in TechCONNECT or the 2003 Town &
Country/Caravan/Voyager Powertrain Diagnostic Procedures Manual (Publication No. 81-370-03038) page 499.
