Shift Cable: Service and Repair
Shift Cable - Removal

REMOVAL

1. Remove the battery See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Battery - Removal.
2. Remove the battery tray See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Battery Tray/Service and Repair/Battery Tray - Removal.
3. Remove the knee blocker (2) See: Restraint Systems/Knee Diverter/Service and Repair/Kneeblocker - Removal.

NOTE: Make sure the lock tab on the gearshift cable is pressed before pulling the cable from the shifter housing.

4. Press the lock tab (2) on the gearshift cable (1) and pull the cable out of the shifter.
