Roof Rack Cross Bow Adjustment Screw Corrosion
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves replacing the Roof Rack Cross Bow Thumb Screw adjustment fasteners with revised parts.

NOTE:
This information applies to models built prior to November 5, 2008 (MDH1105XX).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Some customers may find the Roof Rack Cross Bow adjustment Thumb Screw (fastener) seized or corroded when attempting to adjust their roof rack
cross bows. In some cases the plastic knob may twist off the fastener end due to the inability to loosen the fastener.
DIAGNOSIS:
Inspect all 4 Cross Bow Thumb Screws for corrosion. If corrosion is found, Perform the Repair Procedure.
PARTS REQUIRED:
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Replace the Roof Rack Cross Bow Thumb Screw(s) with pn 68052294AB.
NOTE:
It is recommended to replace all 4 thumb screw fasteners even if corrosion is not found.
