5. Collapse the front cable retainer fingers at the end of the cable housing (1) where it contacts the intermediate bracket. Using an appropriate size
box wrench (2) works well to do this.
6. Pull the front cable (5) out of the intermediate bracket (1).
7. Lower the vehicle.
8. Remove left front door opening sill scuff plate.
9. Remove lower cowl trim.
10. Remove interface connector (3) retaining clips from parking brake lever (1).
11. Disconnect wiring connector (2) at parking brake indicator lamp switch.
