Remove the two bolts and one nut securing the battery tray to the left frame rail (Figure 1).

Lift the battery tray off the mounting stud and set aside.

Remove the cap from the power steering fluid reservoir.
5.
Using a siphon pump, remove and discard as much power steering fluid as possible from the power steering fluid reservoir.
6.
Raise the vehicle on an appropriate hoist.
7.
Remove the screw securing the return hose routing clamp to the rear of the ABS support bracket (Figure 2).
8.
Remove the return hose tube nut connecting the return hose to the power steering gear (Figure 2). Remove the pressure hose from the gear port.
9.
Lower the vehicle.
10.
Remove the hose clamp attaching the return hose to the cooler and separate the hose from the cooler tube.
11.
Remove and discard the power steering return hose from vehicle.
12.
Position the new return hose into the engine compartment.
13.
Install the return hose routing clamp over the battery tray mounting stud.
14.
Connect the new power steering tube to the power steering cooler hose.
