2. Position installer, Special Tool C-4698-2, and handle, Special Tool C-4698-1, on face of bearing shield (Fig. 36).
CAUTION: If bearing shield is not installed flush against the face of the outer CV joint, interference with steering knuckle will occur when driveshaft is
installed.
3. Using a hammer, drive the bearing shield on the outer CV joint until it is flush against the front of the outer CV joint (Fig. 37).
