Park Neutral Switch-4 Speed Electronic Automatic Transaxle-Typical
TRANSAXLE PARK/NEUTRAL SWITCH-PCM INPUT
The park/neutral switch is located on the transaxle housing.
If provides an input to the PCM indicating whether the automatic transaxle is in Park or Neutral. This input is used to determine idle speed
(varying with gear selection) and ignition timing advance. The park neutral switch is sometimes referred to as the neutral safety switch.
