Parking Brake Shoe: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
1. Set the parking brake. The parking brake is set to keep the hub/bearing and axle shaft from rotating when loosening the hub nut.
2. Raise vehicle. See Hoisting in Maintenance.
3. Remove the wheel and tire assembly
4. Remove the cotter pin and nut retainer from the stub shaft of the outer C/V joint.
5. Remove the spring washer from the stub shaft of the outer CV joint.
