Power Steering Fluid Reservoir: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
1. Remove the filler cap from remote power steering fluid reservoir.
2. Siphon as much fluid as possible from the fluid reservoir.
3. Remove the clamp attaching the supply hose to the power steering fluid reservoir.
4. Remove the 2 screws attaching the reservoir to the inner fender.
5. Rotate the reservoir and move it away from the inner fender.
6. Remove the reservoir from the power steering fluid supply hose.
INSTALLATION
1. Install the fluid supply hose onto the power steering fluid reservoir fitting.
2. Install the remote power steering fluid reservoir on the inner fender. To do so, first insert the tab on the reservoir into the hole in the inner fender,
then rotate the reservoir so the mounting screw tabs are in mounting position against the inner fender.
3. Install and securely tighten the 2 reservoir mounting screws.
4. Slide the hose clamp on the fluid supply hose up into position on the fluid reservoir and install it. Be sure hose clamp in installed past bead on
fluid reservoir fitting.
5. Fill the fluid reservoir to the proper level with Mopar power steering fluid or an equivalent.
6. Start the engine and let run for a few seconds, then turn the engine off.
7. Add fluid if necessary.
8. Install the filler cap.
