THIS BULLETIN APPLIES TO VEHICLES BUILT BETWEEN JUNE 6 AND AUGUST 15, 1995 (MDH 0605XX THRU 0815XX).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Rattle/click noise when driving over bumpy road surfaces from the rear wheel area, because of a torn or missing 0-ring on the parking brake cable
housing end fitting at the backing plate.
DIAGNOSIS:
Wiggle the parking brake cable housing end fitting at the rear brake backing plate. If a rattle/click noise can be heard, perform the Repair Procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
This bulletin involves installing clips to the parking brake cable housing end fittings at the rear brake backing plates.
1.
Raise the vehicle on an appropriate hoist.
2.
Insert clip (P/N 2208893) between the parking brake cable housing end fitting washer and the rear brake backing plate. Using an appropriate
hammer, drive the clip into place.
3.
Repeat step 2 for the other side parking brake cable housing end fitting.
4.
Lower the vehicle.
