Repair Procedure
THIS REPAIR IS COMPATIBLE WITH DAIMLERCHRYSLER'S MOBILE SERVICE PROGRAM AND DOES NOT REQUIRE HOISTS OR
OTHER FULL SERVICE FACILITY SPECIAL EQUIPMENT.
Procedure One - Seat Cushion
1.
Disconnect all seat wiring from the vehicle wiring harness. Remove seat from vehicle and place it on a clean work surface.
2.
Remove screws attaching seat cushion plastic side covers.
3.
Disconnect power seat switch wire connector from the outboard side cover.
4.
Disengage J-straps along rear, front and both sides of seat cushion.
5.
Lift seat cover from cushion taking care not to damage the foam or velcro.
6.
Cut off the seat cover heating element wiring connector as close to the cover as possible and discard wiring.
