OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves installing a foam seal on the wiper module right drain tube connector.

THIS BULLETIN APPLIES TO VEHICLES BUILT BEFORE APRIL 7, 2001 (MDH 0407XX) AT THE WINDSOR AND ST. LOUIS
ASSEMBLY PLANTS AND VEHICLES BUILT BEFORE APRIL 13, 2001 (MDH 0413XX) AT THE GRAZ ASSEMBLY PLANT.
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The accessory drive belt may squeal or the belt has jumped off the pulleys.
DIAGNOSIS:
Water may be leaking from the wiper module drain tube connector and dripping onto the accessory drive belt. This may cause a belt squeal condition. In
colder climates, ice can form on the accessory drive belt and may cause the belt to jump off the pulleys when the vehicle is started. Locate the wiper
module drain tube near the top of the right strut tower. With the hood open, direct water into the cowl grille. If water leaks at wiper module drain tube
connector, perform the Repair Procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1.
Remove the drain tube connector from the wiper module and clean the mating surface.
